The Three Gyms

Mental · emotional · relational

The Mental Gym

trains attention — holding it, moving it, putting it down

Not a room for thinking harder. A room for training where attention goes, and what it is allowed to let go of. Reps, like anything else worth getting stronger at.

The Emotional Gym

trains naming what is felt, and finding what it protects

A feeling is trained here as something protecting an unmet need, never as a fault to correct. Nothing is diagnosed and nothing is fixed. The exercise is accuracy, and accuracy comes from reps.

The Relational Gym

trains listening, asking, offering, receiving

The only room that needs a spotter. Four exercises that are ordinary, difficult, and almost never trained — because most people only ever do them under load, when it already matters.
